Terms of Service

To use edatr you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Live in the United States or Canada.
• Sign in with your own Discord account, and have only one edatr account.
• Not have been banned from edatr before, and not be legally barred from using a service like this.
• Give true information about yourself, especially your age.

You're responsible for your account and what happens on it, so keep your Discord account secure.

edatr is for meeting people, so everyone needs to feel safe. These rules apply to your profile, photos, likes, messages and edates. Don't:

• Be under 18, or pretend to be someone you're not, or use someone else's photos.
• Harass anyone: threats, bullying, keeping on messaging after someone says no, or encouraging self-harm.
• Share sexual content on your profile, or send it to anyone who hasn't clearly asked for it. Nothing sexual involving minors, ever; we report it to the authorities.
• Post hate: attacking people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or similar.
• Scam or sell: asking for money, gift cards or crypto, phishing links, promoting other services, or pushing people to other apps to do any of this.
• Post violent or graphic content, or anything illegal.
• Spam or automate: bots, scripts, mass liking, or creating accounts to get around a ban.
• Share someone else's private information, like their real name, address or private messages, without their permission.

Game screenshots and characters are fine, even ones with weapons, as long as they aren't graphic.

If someone breaks these rules, report them from their profile or your chat with them. Reporting also blocks them.

You own what you post. By posting it, you give edatr permission to store, display and process it to run the service, for example showing your profile to other members, and checking photos for safety. This permission ends when you delete it or your account, except for copies we keep for safety as described in our Privacy Policy.

Only post things you have the right to share.

We check new photos automatically and review reports. If you break these Terms, we may remove content, hide your profile, suspend your account for a period, or ban it permanently. Depending on how serious it is, we may do this without warning. Serious cases, like anything involving minors, threats or scams, can lead to an immediate ban and a report to the authorities.

If you think we made a mistake, email support@edatr.gg with your Discord username and we'll take another look.

edatr is free to use. Premium is an optional monthly subscription with extra features, listed in Settings.

• Billing. Premium is charged through Stripe when you subscribe, and then automatically every month until you cancel. The price is shown before you pay. Taxes may apply where required.
• Early access pricing. If you subscribe at an early access price, you keep that price for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
• Cancelling. Cancel anytime in Settings. You keep Premium until the end of the month you've paid for, then it stops renewing.
• Refunds. Payments aren't refunded for partly used months, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong with a charge, email support@edatr.gg.
• Changes. We may change Premium's price or features. We'll tell you before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it applies.
• Badges. The Early Supporter badge, given for subscribing during early access, stays on your profile even if you cancel, unless your account is banned.
• Bans. If your account is banned for breaking these Terms, your Premium ends without a refund.

edatr helps you meet people, but we don't run background checks and can't verify everything members say about themselves. Be careful, especially when sharing personal details or moving to other platforms:

• Never send money or gift cards to someone you've met on edatr.
• Edates happen on Discord; Discord's own rules apply there, and you can report and block people on Discord too.
• If you meet in person, meet somewhere public and tell a friend.

You're responsible for how you interact with other members.

You can stop using edatr and delete your account at any time. Until that's in the app, email support@edatr.gg. We may also close accounts that break these Terms, or stop offering edatr, with reasonable notice where we can.

edatr is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that you'll find a match.

To the extent the law allows, edatr isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what other members do, on or off edatr. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim against us is caused by you breaking these Terms or the law.

If you have a problem with edatr, email support@edatr.gg first and we'll try to sort it out. These Terms are governed by the laws of [State / Province], and any disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live says otherwise. [Dispute resolution terms to be confirmed with a lawyer.]

We may update these Terms as edatr changes. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or on Discord before it takes effect. If you keep using edatr after that, you accept the new Terms.
