OUR MISSION

To bring people closer through shared online experiences.

WHY?

Some of the best connections start over voice calls and gaming.

OUR STORY

Dating apps didn't get us. So we built one that does.

Edatr started when our founder, Evan, was single again and wanted to meet new people. But the usual dating apps just never clicked. Some felt like a job interview, others were way too casual. There was also the unspoken rule that gaming, anime, or any hobby that doesn't look “productive” should stay off your profile. Dating should be fun, not another thing to stress about.

They also skip a step. You text for a few days, then jump straight to meeting a stranger in person. That can mean a long commute, a whole evening, and a dinner bill, all for someone you've barely talked to. But some of the most meaningful relationships in our own lives started differently: gaming and talking for hours on Discord, long before a first date. The catch? Discord was never built for dating. Messaging a stranger out of nowhere can come off wrong, even if you just want to get to know them. And a Discord profile barely tells you anything about who someone is, or whether they live anywhere near you.

Edatr is the app we wished existed. Here, things like gaming and anime aren't red flags. You can find people near you. A Discord call comes before the first date, so you know there's a spark before you make the trip.

What if there was a step between texting and the first date? And a place where loving games and anime is a green flag?
